She has worked as a creative director and fashion stylist for numerous editorials, music videos, advertisements, exhibitions, and live shows.
She has curated installations at the MAK (Museum of Applied Arts in Austria) and has directed site specific films,editorials, and exhibitions at locations such as Kolmanskop, Namibia, The Crooked Forest in Poland, the streets of Beverly Hills, beachside in Turkey and countless abandoned castles throughout Austria and Italy.
As a journalist and theorist, Adia has contributed articles pertaining to the intersection of music and cultural history for diverse outlets including radio FM4.
As co-curator of Series:Black she developed an interactive socio-linguistic workshop called RESOUND, which she has presented at UCLA’s Department of African American Studies (as part of the symposium, On Blackness in Europe), as well as at the National Women’s Studies Association Conference in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), and in Vienna at the MDW ( Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst). For a decade she has taught as an adjunct lecturer in the Fashion and Technology Department at Kunstuniversitat Linz.
She is an official spokesperson for the Vienna Tourist Board as well as the host of their online series, Vienna Now. She continues to perform her own self written material on stage and appeared as an actress in the Gucci miniseries Ouverture Of Something That Never Ended directed by Gus Van Sant.
Currently she is writing a play and poetry, producing experimental home videos, and chasing cows off of her farm.
Adia has experienced 4 decades as an international multidisciplinary artist and nomad: a creative director, writer, curator, cultural and fashion historian, actor, journalist, presenter, educator, video director, model, visual consultant, occasional sound artist, farmer and mother.
Adia has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper Magazine and Kinfolk Magazine among others.
She briefly worked as a personal stylist and vintage collector for Grammy Award Winning artist Lauryn Hill and is a former recipient of the prize for Stylist of the Year at the Vienna Fashion and Lifestyle Awards.
Her video directing work has been shown at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France, The Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia, Vauxhall London Fashion Week, W Hotels in Bali, Vogue Italia online and numerous other festivals and platforms.
